Craziness of life

Things have been kinda crazy since I last posted...David and I have finally gotten settled completely, minus one chair, in our apartment. The merge of stuff has finished...we have dealt with non-working phone jacks to get internet service. We love to play WiiSports Resort at night and just enjoy each other. Things have been great...we have decided to try for a baby...yes only four months into marriage and we have decided we don't want to wait any longer before having children...will let you know how things go...I am going to be an aunt again at the end of the year...this time through Dirk and Kelsi insead of Dane and Julia...but so excited for them! Know that Dirk will be a great Dad and Kelsi a great Mom...Everything has been great...I can't say that enough...my sweetie is so good to me...

Here is the past few months in a run down...
We have gone back north to visit family as well as last weekend we went southwest for the same reason...a wonderful time with Sandy and Loren as well as Brenda and Paul...
Next the day after we get back from time southwest we had the Taste of PCC (that is Plymouth Covenant Church) Where I supplied dark chocolate carmel espresso brownies and David supplied seasoned pretzels that were dangerously good...The Taste of PCC was a gathering where 60 cooks from our church brought in everything from Deep Fried Twinkies (Pastor Dan) to cream cheese wontons (From the people at Ming's Garden) that were the best I had ever tried good even cold! Also we had brick oven pizza, BBQ ribs and everything inbetween. David and I had finally tried Pastor Dan's favorite restuarant that day, which happens to be Ming's Garden, absolutely delicious for those that have lived in Holdrege it is even better than Adam Chan's Chinese restaurant...Now we will be trying out his favorite BBQ place soon Dickey's Barbeque, at least I think that is the name. My parents also arrived on Sunday night to stay for two days for a job interview in Edina, where they finally found a position after a year of searching! Praise the LORD!
After they left on Tuesday things calmed down for a little while until friday when David was able to take the afternoon off and we went to the State Fair...only the second state fair I have ever been too...While there I tried garlic fries, a large garlic pickle, and found a beautiful nativity set that is carved from olive wood in the Holy Land by christians...amazing...also got some wonderful roses for only $8, that is for two dozen long stem roses...it was being put on by Love on a Stick to raise awareness of local florist...all the roses were grown in the state we live in, awesome! Also registered to win 100 roses but sadly did not...Though where I would have put one hundred roses I have no idea LOL.
David and I also decided to start doing WiiFit in the evenings or during the day to try and get into better shape, especially since I want to be healthy should we be blessed with a child. Let me tell you it is not as easy as some would think...the balance games are tough but everything is fun and makes you want to work out...also you can add activities from everyday life so we can still enjoy the outdoors together.
The past few months we have been dealing with a majorly dusty road outside as workers work to install new water lines...still not done but the end seems to be in sight since they are paving the holes to the south of us...now if only the rest would be finished we could enjoy the wonderful weather and have the windows open instead of closed to keep out all the dirt and dust flying...I have been working on some paintings and have ideas for others in my head...have also been working on writing...
Our church is fabulous and we are soon going to be a Host Family for a small group...The host family doesn't have to lead the discussion but instead opens their homes to the small group and provides refreshments...something many of you who know me understand is a passion of mine...We are about to start on a 10 week journey at the church that is a series of sermons followed by small group meetings sometime during the week...even if it means by being a host family that i have to keep the apartment clean lol!
I am working at getting up at better times...9 or 9:30 instead of 11 or 12 something that David appreciates and is helping with...Even if I don't do much in the morning hours though I now have the time...lol
Ah well that has been the past few months in a summary for my life...Next weekend we will be back up north starting Friday, we will not be staying as long as usual heading back early sunday morning so that we can make a stop to see one of David's Aunts. Ah well...we just want to see family if only for a little while. Time for me to sign off and live life instead of just writing about it...:)
