what a way to start a weekend

Now this is something that my heart needed to have happen to today before my big test. Which by the way went pretty well I think. I decided to boost myself confidence today by actually dressing nice and putting on makeup. I even went to the extent of wearing heels something I very very rarely do. ^^ So anyway I got off the campus shuttle and was going to cut through the campus union. Standing outside the Union were two younger men, early 20s at the oldest I would say if I had to estimate. They were very handsome and took very good care of themselves muscle wise. They were having a very serious conversation about some sport that at least one of them participates in. Now the thing that cheered me up and made me smile the most today was their conversation came to a complete stop and they followed me with their eyes, I could tell because of the glass in the doors was being reflective today, the whole time I was walking away from them. For someone that is turning 27 on Sunday and had been stressing about a large test that was going to be happening only 30 minutes after this took place it was a very great thing to have happen. Now I'm not one of those women that is in a panic because I'm all that much closer to 30 and looking for gray hairs and wrinkles but still I had always thought that by the time that I was this age I would be married with at least one child so to still be thought attractive was amazing. Even more so when around this time last year I was about 200 pounds and now I have lost around 25-30 of those pounds go me! I feel that this is going to be a very good weekend.

Bad day turned good...then back to so so

alright so my day started out like the rest of this week has been. Pounding head and yucky stomach. Migraine for four days straight is not a good way to spend the week especially when I have a large test happening tomorrow in Astronomy. Yuck! Had to drop another class last week, the lab for astro, couldn't make it all up in time for the end of the semester which is coming up fast! So now I only have 6 credits but that is enough to keep my apartment and financial aid. Anyway a Dr. appt with my neurologist is not a fun way to spend the day after waking up from only a max of 4 hours of sleep or so, don't really know more than it was not a lot at all. Anyway had to wait for over an hour at the Dr. office, what is new there? then parents dropped me off at the Art department so that I could get to Art History and I was still feeling Crappola! Migraine still pounding and not really wanting to be in the bright lights of the art building but I needed to get to class. And man was I glad that I did! I got my term paper back! I was surprised by the happy result! I got a 95! I got an A on my Art History Term Paper! I have not gotten that High of a grade on a paper that I can remember in college! Anyway that went so great and then mom and dad took me for dinner and to get some groceries before bring me back to study some more. Now I have to deal with more exhaustion and still pounding head while trying to continue studying for the test in astronomy but that will only last for a little while longer before I'm off for a shower and bed to be rested for tomorrow. Plan on getting up early and then studying some more before going to take the test at 1pm those that read this and believe please pray for me that this one goes well. I need a good grade on this test. Ah well now to head back to studying.

Easter Week - if you don't want to read a sermon don't read this

What does Easter mean for you? Does it just mean a reason to have a sugar rush and a lot of chocolate? A reason to have your children search for baskets as you sit back and simply enjoy the treats that were conveniently left over from when you, oh I'm sorry the "Easter Bunny", made the baskets for the kids.
Or does it mean a time to remember the ultimate sacrifice that happened so many years ago when a Father let His Son give His life for all of us. Small insignificant sinful us were the reason that Jesus let himself be killed in the most gruesome of ways. Have you ever really thought about how he was killed not only was he hung on a cross to die but he had a crown of thorns SHOVED on his head, not placed gently as most seem to think but SHOVED on his head. On top of that he was FLOGGED with a cat-o-nine. Now this isn't your have kinky fun in the bedroom with your spouse cat-o-nine, *shudders* no this is a cat-o-nine with pieces of glass, rock, rusted metal, and bone all throughout it making sure that every lash pierced the skin and ripped it open. Now after all of this happens he is made to carry his own heavy wooden cross through the city through a jeering crowd out to the spot where he will ultimately die, he has most likely had no food since the night before and nothing to drink, he's bleeding heavily from the crown and the flogging and has this dead weight from the cross on his back but still he goes through all of this and then has his hands and feet pierced with NINE INCH LONG NAILS securing him to the cross which is then lifted into the air hanging him there between two thieves as if he was no better than them. As if THE KING OF KINGS was no better than TWO THIEVES! Now I am always amazed at how he forgives one and tells him that he will have a place in heaven. I think that is so amazing! It also amazes me how he cries out "MY GOD MY GOD WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME!" All that happens on Good Friday, why is it called good causes me endless curiosity, before he states a simple line "it is finished" that is it. He gives up his soul and dies. That is it the people think so much for the Great Jesus. So much for the Great King of the Jews. They are smirking and some trying to figure out why the things that had happened when his soul departed happened but for the most part they went about their lives while his friends and family prepared his body and buried it before the Jewish Sabbath came. Now comes the GOOD part. Now comes the TRUE REASON to celebrate the EASTER SEASON. It is not some silly bunny delivering eggs, I mean why have a bunny deliver eggs anyway, they don't lay eggs. It is not the chocolate, though even I admit I love the chocolate and the reason to eat as much sweets and sugar as possible. No it is the reason that happened THREE DAYS after the Death of JESUS. The day he DEFEATED the hold the DEATH and SIN had over man kind. The day he won the right to claim us as his own and save us from the power of sin and the devil the day he said 'you can't have them because they have been reborn in my name.' The day that JESUS CHRIST ROSE FROM THE DEAD!!!!!! That is right He is BACK! Death can't keep HIM down! The Devil didn't stand a chance of holding HIM back. No one who claims JESUS CHRIST as their LORD AND SAVIOR in heart, mind, body, and soul will ever have to fear the devil for he has no chance against us. For JESUS will always stand against the devil and his horde beside us, before us, and behind us. We are always protected because of that day so many years ago that Jesus won the fight against Sin and Death and ROSE FROM THE DEAD! HALLELUJAH!
